Cobourg Donuts

Today's session featured a cheap pre-roll, the Maximum Force demo on the speakers, and homemade donuts fresh from the kitchen. Real yeast dough, a quick proof, and a fast fry. That's the whole recipe.
Ingredients
- 1 tbsp yeast
- 1 tbsp sugar
- 1 tbsp warm water
- 2 cups flour
- 1 cup milk
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1 egg
- Oil, for frying
Directions
- Activate the yeast with the warm water and sugar for 10 minutes, until foamy.
- Once foamy, add the flour, milk, butter, and egg.
- Mix in a stand mixer with the dough hook for 5 minutes.
- Cut the dough into shapes.
- Proof in the oven with a pan of hot water placed underneath.
- Fry in oil for 30 seconds on each side.
- Cool, then decorate with whatever you want.

The Verdict
Light, fluffy, and gone in about four minutes. Best decorated however you want and eaten standing up at the counter. Cobourg approved.
